Description: This session will explore the role of quality, including common challenges and benefits of focusing on creating a culture of continuous quality improvement. Hear from HANYS' quality advocacy, research and innovation team experts on the role of quality in alternative payment models. In addition, we’ll highlight systems that have leveraged superior quality approaches to improve their performance in such arrangements.
Objectives for this session include:
- describe key quality improvement principles and approaches to guide VBP work;
- review performance improvement readiness and monitoring tools; and
- understand best practices from systems that have undergone innovative change toward VBP.
